Summary
Mobile/iOS software engineer (UMass Amherst dual B.S., Computer Science + Managerial Economics) who designs, ships, and maintains a public 17-app iOS/AI portfolio on the App Store. Strong in SwiftUI, SwiftData, XCTest/XCUITest, App Store releases, debugging, and AI/API integration — OpenAI, Whisper, Claude, and Gemini behind Node.js serverless proxies (Vercel).
Experience
WeiProduct — Founder / Mobile & iOS Software Engineer
Jul 2025 – PresentSan Francisco Bay Area, CA
- Built, shipped, and maintain a public 17-app iOS/AI portfolio across calendar, habits, notes, voice, weather, finance, learning, wellness, and utility workflows — all 17 first releases reached the App Store within four weeks (Jul 9 – Aug 6, 2025), with 15 apps iterated beyond v1.0 since.
- Owned end-to-end mobile execution: SwiftUI implementation, SwiftData local persistence, onboarding, permissions/privacy, App Store submission and review resolution, and release iteration — automated through the App Store Connect API.
- Designed a hardened serverless AI-gateway pattern reused across the portfolio: per-app Vercel proxies with origin and model allow-lists and server-side key management.
- Integrated OpenAI, Whisper, Claude, and Gemini APIs into phone-native workflows for scheduling, transcription, summarization, and coaching — AI drafts are edited and approved by the user before saving.
- Standardized reusable SwiftUI patterns (onboarding, settings, loading/error states, AI review flows) and automated XCTest/XCUITest suites in multiple apps.
Selected Mobile Projects
AI Calendar — SwiftUI, OpenAI API, App Store Connect
2025- Built a natural-language scheduling workflow converting user intent into structured, editable plans — with ambiguity handling for missing dates and unclear intent, input validation, loading/error handling, and inspectable AI output to reduce first-use friction.
AI Note / AI Voice Notes — SwiftUI, Node.js, OpenAI/Whisper APIs
2025- Built note and voice-capture workflows with hardened backend endpoints for transcription and summarization; debugged audio/API configuration, model-response failures, latency, and output-format issues.
WeiRabits (Habits) — SwiftUI, SwiftData, App Store release iteration
2025 – 2026- Developed a habit tracker with recurring progress states, reusable UI components, iPad layout refinements, local persistence, and multiple App Store release iterations (currently v1.2).
Software Engineering Team Project — React Native, Expo, JavaScript
2024- Collaborated in a sprint-based mobile engineering team; contributed frontend features, release testing, bug triage, and mobile/browser behavior fixes while translating changing requirements into testable UI updates.
Additional portfolio: Piggy Accounting, AI Weather, AI Pomodoro Timer, Food Calories, Meditation, and more — all 17 apps with App Store links at weifuandy.com.
